Cookie Policy

This page explains what cookies are, which ones our website uses, and what they do. We have kept this short and plain. Cookies are a routine part of how websites function, and we use them in a minimal and considered way.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places in your browser when you visit. They are used for a range of purposes — from keeping you logged in to a service, to remembering a preference, to understanding in aggregate how visitors use a site. Cookies are not programs and cannot carry viruses.

Some cookies are set by the website you are visiting (first-party cookies). Others are set by third-party services that provide features on the page, such as maps or analytics tools. You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings.

Cookies We Use

We use a small number of cookies. The table below lists them, what they do, and how long they persist.

We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any cookies that track your activity across other websites.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand, in general terms, how visitors find our website and which pages they visit. This helps us know whether our content is useful and whether the site is functioning well. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.

We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. This means the final segment of your IP address is removed before it is processed. Google's privacy policy governs how they handle the data they receive; more information is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Third-Party Content

Our contact page includes an embedded Google Maps frame showing the location of our workshop. When this map loads, Google may set cookies in your browser according to their own policies. We do not control these cookies, and they are not related to our own data practices. If you prefer not to have Google cookies set through our site, you can prevent the map from loading by disabling third-party cookies in your browser settings.

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to see what cookies have been set, delete individual ones, or block cookies from certain sites or entirely. Blocking all cookies will affect the functionality of many websites; blocking only third-party cookies is a reasonable middle ground for most users.

Guidance on managing cookies in common browsers:

If you clear your browser's localStorage, the cookie consent record will also be cleared and our notice will appear again on your next visit.

Questions

If you have questions about how we use cookies or about our broader data practices, our Privacy Policy has more detail, or you are welcome to contact us directly.
